A Global Connection: Connecting to Lishma at the 2025 World Kabbalah Convention

As we round up our 2025 World Kabbalah Convention on the theme “Connecting to Lishma,” it was incredibly inspiring to see hundreds of people from all around the world make the trip to Israel to join thousands more at the convention in person, as well as thousands more group gatherings and virtual connections worldwide, as we delved deep into what it means to achieve Lishma, the inner center of all reality. In this profound spiritual process, we learned how only the Creator can help us with achieving such a goal.

Through connection with the Creator, by using the laws and the means He created and prepared for us, we can reach Lishma. What is Lishma? Lishma means reaching the degree of the Creator and revealing Him in a true way, each person individually and all of us together.

On this path, we need to undergo many changes, from the evil inclination to the good inclination, i.e., from an egoistic desire to enjoy for self-benefit alone to an altruistic desire to benefit others—from Lo Lishma to Lishma. By nature, we act according to what seems beneficial to us. But if we aim ourselves in a spiritual direction, we then need to act because it is good in the eyes of the Creator. Therefore, with our spiritual goal in our sights, we should try to absorb the messages of Kabbalists in a way that they enter us, speak within us, change us, and after such efforts, we will truly become something different from what we are now: spiritual, able to hear, see, and feel the Creator with all of our senses.

That was the purpose of the convention, and it is the goal of our connection. I am truly grateful to all the friends who share this same spiritual goal who made efforts to join this convention, both physically in Israel, and in myriad special group gatherings worldwide. With such a magnificent support of the friends, and the Creator Himself, we indeed showed that we have everything we need in order to connect to Lishma.
