First, we should understand why humanity struggles with the idea of equality. It is because we do not naturally strive for equality. Our egoistic nature, the desire to enjoy for personal benefit alone, does not measure equality. It measures superiority and inferiority. We constantly compare ourselves to others and seek to elevate ourselves over them.
This is why equality is impossible if we remain with our own egoistic forces at hand. To make equality possible, we need an external force to guide us. If we are left to our own devices, our egos will always push us to seek more than others, to take more than we give.
Therefore, achieving equality is possible if we aim to develop positive connections to each other, and by doing so, draw the positive force of connection that dwells in nature into our connections. The positive force of nature, an altruistic force positioned opposite to our egoistic nature, is the common denominator that has the power to connect people and bring about equality in human society. Without it, no attempt at equality will ever succeed.
History proves this. People have tried to enforce equality through revolutions, economic systems, and legal frameworks, but without a higher common purpose that invites nature’s positive connecting force into human relations, equality becomes either tyranny or an illusion.
When we unite in our root—when we recognize that we are all parts of a single system, guided by a higher force of connection dwelling in nature—we can achieve equality in human society. It does not mean that we make everyone identical, but on the contrary, with our myriad differences, by drawing nature’s positive force of connection into our relations, we let our differences blossom in an integrative tapestry by making each person’s unique contribution beneficial to the whole.
