The impact of money depends entirely on how it is used. If I aim to fulfill my egoistic desires, i.e., desires for self-benefit at the expense of others, money becomes a necessity. However, if I seek to channel my egoism toward fulfilling others, I need an anti-egoistic screen—a “covering” for egoism, which is represented by money.
Money is an indicator of one’s strength, the force of the screen. Wars, for instance, are not truly fought over money itself but rather because of the egoism that money amplifies.
However, money has its limitations. While it can buy many things, it cannot purchase everything. The qualities that are rooted in our soul, such as the connection between people or innate talents in music, art, or literature, are beyond monetary value.
The qualities we receive from nature, like our talents and spiritual potential, cannot be bought with money. Similarly, positive connections that we build in love and bestowal upon others cannot be bought with financial means.
We often confuse money with effort, assuming we can simply pay to achieve a desired outcome. Yet attitudes, deep connections, and gifts originating from the positive force of love, bestowal, and connection that dwells in nature cannot be acquired through egoistic means. These intangible aspects, which we need to nurture and bring into balance with their source—the very positive force dwelling in nature—remain untouched by paper money or material wealth.
