How Does One Get Closer to the Truth?

Many discuss striving toward the truth, but do we really know what it is? The truth is, we do not know. So, what exactly do people push toward? Just because we are dissatisfied with our current state does not mean we know the right way to leave it.

One of my students asked me what I personally think the truth is, and from my engagement with the wisdom of Kabbalah for over 40 years, I can say the truth is that all people are absolutely equal.

If I choose to see the world this way and move in this direction, then I am advancing toward the truth. When we truly perceive all people as equal—not just in words but in our inner feeling—we begin to discover what the truth is, what it feels like, and what it means to live in it.

We are equal to everyone in the same way. When we reach this perception together, we will taste the truth.
