What Is Absolute Truth?

Absolute truth is the recognition that everything in our world is relative except for two fundamental forces: the desire to receive and the desire to bestow. These two opposing forces define all of existence. The force of bestowal is the force dwelling in nature, and we people are the force of reception.

The wisdom of Kabbalah calls the force of bestowal “the Creator,” as well as “Nature,” and several other names that define the outward-directed giving power that created and sustains all life.

The force of reception is what this giving force created: the created beings on still, vegetative, animate, and human levels.

To determine truth, we must measure everything against this absolute standard: the force or quality of bestowal. If something brings us closer to bestowal and connection, it is true. If it distances us from bestowal, it is false. This understanding lets us make real progress to discover how and why nature works the way it does, how and why the nature of the created being was created opposite to the general nature, and how to shift from our nature of reception to the nature of bestowal in order to discover the reality outside our inborn perception, one of eternity and perfection. Otherwise, we become lost in multiple subjective “truths.”

But why should we think that bestowal is the ultimate truth? After all, we do not immediately perceive it as such. This is where Kabbalah offers a method, not a belief system, but a practical, scientific and empiric approach. We are invited to examine the wisdom, to see how it explains the structure of the universe, the nature of humanity, and the direction of our development in a way that is logical and practical. Over time, through study and personal experience, we develop the sensory tools to perceive this reality directly.

Much like early scientists who deduced the existence of microorganisms before they could see them under a microscope, Kabbalists work with forces that are initially beyond ordinary perception. But through a structured process, anyone can develop these abilities and directly experience the Creator, the absolute force of truth.

Therefore, truth is not about facts or logic alone. It is about reaching a state where we align ourselves with the force of bestowal, rising above our limited, self-centered perception to perceive reality as it is outside of our inborn egoistic perception and sensation.
