The question is, how do we define “strong” in the context of survival? Relevant to our current world’s transformation, strong is one who can overcome their ego—the desire for self-benefit at others’ expense.
Why is overcoming the ego the main strength that we need for survival today?
It is because overcoming the ego lets us connect with nature, and by doing so, we complete nature; we make it whole. We stop resisting nature with behavior it deems intolerable. It is because nature is everywhere. Nature exists in everything and everyone, and likewise, everything and everyone is in nature.
With respect to others around us, we need to be as one system. No single cell can exist on its own. Cells rather require mutual complementarity to sustain the body.
While the strong—those able to overcome their ego—will survive our present evolutionary transition, the weak, on the contrary, will fall. Likewise, “weak” is defined as those who will be unable to overcome their egoistic drives. Such drives will lead people to increasing friction, conflict, suffering, and destruction.
