We should think about the meaning of life. That is what we need to fill our time with. The search for the meaning of life is not something we stumble upon; it requires active engagement. Without it, we eventually start feeling like we are suffocating. The more we develop, the clearer it becomes that life has a beginning, middle, and end. But now, as life expectancy has doubled, the question becomes even more pressing: who needs all these extra years without meaning?
The answer is that we need to discover the meaning of life, the purpose given to us by nature itself. The meaning of life exists beyond our egoistic nature, the desire to enjoy for self-benefit alone, which bases our current perception and understanding. To grasp it, we must grow spiritually. We must open our eyes to a different reality, a deeper and higher system that we exist in, one that is not controlled by the human ego.
When we shift the foundation of how we perceive the universe, everything changes. We will see where we really are and the vast world that awaits us. It is as if we have a button that, once pressed, transforms our entire perception of reality.
Where is this button? It is in the heart. To change the world, we first need to change ourselves.
The desire to seek the meaning of life cannot be bought or acquired. But if we have this inner need that makes us seek beyond all the materialistic fulfillments of our world, the path is open to us. If not, then we will remain where we are. However, looking at humanity’s state today, we see that more and more people seek answers. They are searching for new dimensions, other worlds, something beyond the limits of what they currently know.
This is precisely where the wisdom of Kabbalah becomes relevant. It tells us: “Here are your tools, here is your blank canvas. Go ahead and paint!” It provides us with a method to explore and discover the meaning of our existence. And this is exactly what we should be engaged with in our free time.
