Complete trust can come about when we realize that we all live in a single integral system, interconnected and interdependent.
We have reached a stage of our evolution where the world is integral, and in an integral system the particular and the general are equal. Therefore, complete trust in one person, even between a couple who wish to build their relationship on a certain level of trust, requires first and foremost understanding that we are members of a broader human society, and that this society holds an integral influence on our relationships to each other.
That is why we are experiencing an era of a general breakdown of relationships on all levels.
The turning point from this destructive direction to a positive and constructive one will come about with the realization of our egoistic nature as the cause of every relationship shortcoming, and together with such a realization, a deeply-rooted feeling that it is a negative quality working to our detriment that we need to correct to its altruistic opposite.
Reaching such a realization of our egoistic nature as detrimental to us depends on the widespread spreading of educational material that teaches us about how nature works as an interconnected and interdependent whole, how human nature works in opposition to this nature, and the need for a shift in human consciousness from egoistic to altruistic in order for humanity to enter into balance with the broader nature. Otherwise, we will continue heading in a negative and destructive direction, with more and more accumulation of relationship breakdowns and myriad other forms of suffering, until we realize the need to make this fateful switch.
