As was to be expected, the coronavirus isn’t letting up. It’s spreading all over the US, Germany, Italy, South Korea, China, and many other countries. Worse yet, the virus has mutated and is now “nearly 10 times more infectious,” according to scientists at the Scripps Research, Florida.
The coronavirus will force us, whether we like it or not, to change our way of thinking, which in turn will create a much healthier and happier way of life for all of us. Yet, we can choose how to get there. If we go along with the change, it will be a quick and smooth transition. If we object to it, we will suffer terrible blows that will force us to change nonetheless.
The coronavirus pandemic, the George Floyd Protests, the economic crisis that has resulted from the pandemic, are all global events. The era of great empires is gone; now all the countries are interdependent, as are all the people. But until we realize this, we will not be happy because we’ll keep seeking ways to get ahead of everyone else. But today, anyone who tries this will pay dearly.
We only have a few months of economic breathing space before entire sectors will begin to dissolve, leaving countless people jobless and hopeless. This is why it is imperative that everyone understands that countries must care for all their residents, and provide everyone with the basic needs of water, food, heating, clothing, and shelter.
Afterwards, a new educational system must be built at lightning speed to teach everyone about our complete interconnectedness and mutual responsibility, and make everyone see that our lives depend on it.
